A Chilly Auke Bay

Here are some pictures from yesterday. The wind was blowing and it was freezing cold, but there were two brave souls that set out to get some crab. I think they were the only two on the water besides the Ferry's.

Hello all,

It's been a while since I've written a post. We've had a few sunny days in Juneau over the past month where I was able to get some pictures without getting rained or snowed on :) So I just thought I would share some!

We had never seen the glacier this blue. It was beautiful.





I'd like to say that I happened across these two out on a hike or something, but really we were taking our recycling to the dump. There are groups of bald eagles everywhere there. Sometimes there are six or seven to a tree. It's pretty cool even though the setting isn't ideal.



Jackson's Latest Photoshoot

Here are some photos that I took of Jackson the other day. It was funny because normallly he hates it when I get the camera out but I told him that we were going to take pictures of his "friends" too. That made him very excited! Then when I went to put the camera away he got very upset because he wanted to keep posing with his friends :) He's so funny! My perfect little boy.

This is Brittany's (my previous senior photo model) brother Brett! I was lucky enough to be able to take his pictures while he was visiting Juneau. He's such a cute kid with a great smile so it was super fun to take his pictures. Thanks for the opportunity!!

Moon

Well I attempted to get some shots of the Lunar Eclipse last night but the clouds were in the way. Did I mention that there has not been a cloud in the sky for about five days now? But two hours before the eclipse started they rolled on in. That's Juneau for you though. Anyways, I got a couple of the eclipse that were okay. The rest of the photos are from a couple days ago when I went out and caught the moon rising over the Mendenhall Glacier.

A Trip To Auke Bay

Last Sunday Mike and I were lucky enough to get some alone time! Jackson's babysitter Brittney called and asked if she could take him to a movie. I said heck yes! It was a gorgeous day and the thought of being able to get out and take some pictures without a two year old made me feel as giddy as a two year old :). And Mike was nice enough to come along with me! We headed towards Auke Bay which turned out to be a great choice. I got some great shots and were able to watch a seal fishing right next to the docks. There were eagles flying everywhere and the sunset turned out to be amazing. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
