I have loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember, and I am finally getting the opportunity to try to turn that love into a profession. I have started this blog to record my journey through this process.

Moon
Well I attempted to get some shots of the Lunar Eclipse last night but the clouds were in the way. Did I mention that there has not been a cloud in the sky for about five days now? But two hours before the eclipse started they rolled on in. That's Juneau for you though. Anyways, I got a couple of the eclipse that were okay. The rest of the photos are from a couple days ago when I went out and caught the moon rising over the Mendenhall Glacier.

A Trip To Auke Bay
Last Sunday Mike and I were lucky enough to get some alone time! Jackson's babysitter Brittney called and asked if she could take him to a movie. I said heck yes! It was a gorgeous day and the thought of being able to get out and take some pictures without a two year old made me feel as giddy as a two year old :). And Mike was nice enough to come along with me! We headed towards Auke Bay which turned out to be a great choice. I got some great shots and were able to watch a seal fishing right next to the docks. There were eagles flying everywhere and the sunset turned out to be amazing. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

My Little Man
I've been playing around with editing some older pictures in photoshop and came across some pictures of a walk that we took in the Campground behind our house in October. Jackson was in a great mood and it made for some fun pictures! I couldn't help but share some with you. He has his pink football beads on that his Grammy gave him from the Griz Breast Cancer Awareness football game :)

Ice Ice Baby
Unfortunately our neighbors were telling us the truth about winters in Juneau, they're icy. It snows a good 6 inches or more and it's beautiful. I can deal with snow, I don't mind it one bit. But then it rains... for days on end. And then it gets cold and EVERYTHING is ice. I don't like that. But it does make for some good pictures so I guess I will deal with it. At least for the next 989 days (not that we have a countdown going or anything).
